Over one hundred years ago, the internationalist president, perhaps the last in the past century until John F. Kennedy; Woodrow Wilson was completing his second term (1913-1921). Credited with the 14 points and the creation of the League of Nations, which ironically, the isolationist Congress of America blocked entry into, he rightfully commented:
I can predict with absolute certainty that within another generation there will be another world war if the nations of the world do not concert the method by which to prevent it.
Despite the grandiose vision of international cooperation and the dissolution of the pragmatic causes of war – President Wilson was a racist and a bigot. He was the president who allowed the Federal Reserve Board to manifest and control the American money supply. While he wished for world peace, it was not because he felt a need towards egality. Far from it; war was just bad for business. He stood solidly with the eugenicists and apartheid methods of racial separation and control. In the words of historian Lloyd E. Ambrosius (2007):
President Woodrow Wilson led the United States into World War One, promising to make the world safe for democracy. Advocating liberal internationalism, he called for collective security and national self-determination. He wanted democratic states to create the League of Nations as a partnership for peace in a new world order. But in his thinking and statecraft, the text of modern liberalism was intertwined with the subtext of White racism. His friendship with Thomas Dixon, Jr., and his contributions to David W. Griffith's 1915 film The Birth of a Nation revealed this nexus between liberalism and racism. His liberal civic ideals appeared quite different from the ultra-racism of the film, which was based on Dixon's novels. He seemed to advocate inclusive nationalism, in contrast to its exclusive Americanism. The president's apparently universal principles, however, were still influenced by the White South's Lost Cause. His diplomacy and his legacy of Wilsonianism combined racism with liberalism. He adhered to the color line at home by promoting Jim Crow segregation in the federal government and abroad by limiting his liberal internationalism in practice.
The Griffith film, Birth of a Nation, was viewed in the White House under Wilson, for special guests of the President. At the time, Wilson seemed ahead of the times, if one can believe that, though consider he shared the space with many great leaders and ideologies of the time. It was almost the end of kings and the beginning of federal governments. Many of Wilson’s ideas are still alive today as the veil is quickly falling that hides the illusion created by Oz.
“I don’t think there are any Russians; and there ain’t no Yanks! Just corporate criminals; playing with tanks!”
Watching the presidential debates can tell a person all they need to know about the current state of American “democracy.” While American presidents, who have the power to end the world today, were quibbling about which was the greater felon, nihilist or narcissist – democratic elections were being held in Iran. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the son of the late RFK, John F. Kennedy’s brother, was not allowed to participate despite poling high in many parts of the country. Ideas are not welcome in America – only grift and chaos. Many Americans, it seems, are clearly trapped by all the mind control and bigotries that are perpetuated by a technologized world that fosters isolated and fragmented support for meaningful expression. Journalists have been assassinated, targeted and abused by the leading “proponents” of democracy. It has been easy for the established powers to control and subjugate the masses, to such a degree, even the puppet masters are believing their own lies (for example the discussions of winning a nuclear war; that mass illegal immigration is good; or that China will attack Taiwan).
While the rest of the world has been quickly moving to Big Mother mode (BRICS+) to isolate the big baby from tools of destruction as Uncle Sam throws a tantrum, Europe stayed committed to America through NATO. Even now, some Europeans stay committed to the relationships – because they are blinded by their own hubris and greed. Much of the anti-Russian rhetoric is ramped up by leaders of small former Soviet bloc countries like Lithuania and Latvia. The world is changing, and in some places the changes are rapid and this is due to only one thing really. America has fallen.
When the mighty Lion of Africa, Nelson Mandela, was released from jail, he then became the President of the nation. Labeled a terrorist and targeted by the CIA, Nelson Mandela sat in jail for 25 years. The Apartheid South African government of F. D. de Klerk gave way to the ANC which allowed Nelson Mandela to become president in 1994.
Julian Assange, an innocent man on a long and difficult voyage, has been set free. The ramifications are endless, but there is also a sense of trepidation. Why now?
Aside from the fact that his arrest and detention, as well the kidnapping and assassination plans leaked from Langley, were all trumped-up and the west wanted to punish Julian as much as they could to set a precedent of what can happen to any journalist who threatens western hegemony. Honestly, Donald Trump was probably going to boast that he would set him free in the debates, and that would really be the final nail for the Democrats. So, in a way, Trump freed him. Contrast that to the most recent Correspondents dinner at the White House.
Information Terrorists
Journalists, like Assange or Gonzalo Lira, have always been targets for groups in controlling the narrative. In a free world, journalists should not fear for their lives, but today the world is far from free and there is so much further to go to make things better. There has always been animosity from some business groups towards journalists. Though benefitting from the fruits of freedom and democracy, some groups resent truth or factual reporting where their business interests lie. Journalists are assassinated nearly everywhere and this is extremely prevalent in war zones or environmental protection areas.
In today’s world, common people who report the news are being labeled, “Information terrorists.”
Americans are paying for the creation of “counter-disinformation” centers to filter information and control the narrative. In the Ukraine, it is the State Department – paid on the back of the American worker – which creates and maintains the Center for Countering Disinformation (since 2022). The first thing that they did was create black lists of information terrorists – those journalists that did not support the Ukrainian vision. Through the labelling of a journalist as a terrorist, more taxpayer money could be weaponized on any journalist than ever. No free society does these things.
The SBU and the CIA are working closely together. A Ukrainian group has a hit list for journalists called myrotvorets. This group marks several US citizens for death. With the passing of Gonzalo Lira, an American citizen in a Ukrainian jail, it is clear that the treatment of some journalists is horrendous and criminal. This type of mentality places so much pressure on maintaining freedom that reason becomes waned. Violence is never a solution, but such pressures to defend violence only breed war, and that is the end result of so much abuse.
They told young people it was to preserve the American way of life. They told them for God and country. The young generation in America not only revolted against the American apartheid system (Brown v. Board, 1954) but united in rejecting neo-con con men fantasies of war – the song by Country Joe and the Fish being indicative of that resistance. The fallout from the Vietnam war was quickly transferred into an accelerated form of capitalism and nihilism – private ownership; private enterprise and glorification of materialism. It was if those who urged peace thought the battle over once the war stopped, and on this President Wilson is correct — the world must find ways to maintain peace.
Today’s world is vastly different than it was before which makes the current world crisis unique. Forces are all reaching maximum limits and engines are all running hot. Some western planners have even conducted studies (Rand) to determine the best strategies to defeat China militarily, and concluded that 2025 would be the last bit of window left where the Americans could be successful. American Congressman Lindsay Graham said that its better that the United States fund Ukrainians to kill Russians than for the USA to do it.
In the 1960s, America was a nation that was building the foundations of today’s international policy which maintains a large military fighting force and capacity. The Vietnam War was pivotal in that it created a war time economy that put the military-industrial complex (MIC) into overdrive. The war was managed and fought using computers and it wasn’t until national news and Walter Cronkite did Americans wake up to the horrors of war and especially a war that was not in the United States interests. Veterans against war coalitions formed and have been informing the public since. Today in America, armed forces recruitments are low and many soldiers and sailors are being overused in the field. There is a fatigue in the west. Today’s world cannot find soldiers to fight them, easily. Many forces in combat in Ukraine, for example, are mercenary fighters. The world economy will have to reset when the dollar collapses; so maybe the means to war will also diminish.
In the Vietnam War, journalists became very important to unifying the world against injustice. In today’s world, journalists are hunted down by the US government as information terrorists.
How much longer this can go on, is unclear, though six of ten Ukrainian soldiers on the front line are surrendering at the first opportunity (149.200 Volga). Russian forces are accommodating.
Most Americans see the world around them as a threat and have been weaponized since 2012 (NDAA 2012). The weaponization of government upon the people isn’t a new thing, though it wrong. Most decent people wish to live in harmony and peace, but are so often brought into harms way because of a violent majority. The use of media and mind control methods to subjugate and separate people backfires in the end. All efforts to create a destablized world that needs American arms sales now serve as areas hostile to the USA, and this trend continues. The more one tries to control, the more that becomes uncontrollable.
Public Enemy, published the album Rebirth of a Nation, in 2006. Can’t hold us back, have a listen.
It's depressing how effective the enemies of civil society have been playing the long game. Now u.s. presidents have official immunity to birth whatever nation they fantasize about. . They can not only fire or arrest their foes as before but now can summarily try and execute them in live military tribunals. Officially immune. Liz Cheney or Jeff Clark or Rosen? Treason, punishable by death. Crooked Sleepy Joe? You name it. Neighbors will be stoning neighbors to death like in Deteronomy. Nazis will be forever pardoned. Immigration will revert back to slavery possibly or the importation of"guest workers" with no official status. Like Neil Young once sang, we're looking for a leader...but in all the wrong places. Be safe out there.
