Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus
First published anonymously in 1818, and then with a male pen-name, this Mary Shelley story tells of a brilliant scientist, Victor Frankenstein, and his demise after creating a monster. At the time, the notion of reanimating life – Galvanism – was considered cutting edge. The practice of alchemy and the notion of private laboratories permeates European narratives of the 17th and 18th centuries. While Hollywood has redefined this classic tail, Mary Shelley clearly extends a Faustian theme in that one should be careful what they wish for – for they just might get it.
Creating Monsters
Victor Frankenstein ventured into new and unknown territory of science and philosophy – and he got everything he wanted. He was the greatest of his time. Even today, scientists pursue AI directed “smart” weapons to use in deadly conflicts. Victor Frankenstein was also the product of wealthy societies. The notion that elites were somehow superior because of their education and upbringing was, and still is, a taut that seeks to sustain exceptionalism. From Peace Corps to the idea of spreading freedom and democracy abroad – the seeds of the common day monster are not difficult to trace. Altruistic notions coupled with sleek fascist media coverage have compounded the acceptance of the monster that has become the United States of America.
Fleeced in burnt out remnants of the US Constitution, the current regime of “leadership” in America concerns itself more in controlling the American mind than with leading the country. For many privileged class members, control is everything. This process began centuries before when wealthy interests guided the extermination of indigenous peoples; their languages and religions. Legitimacy was found through racist directed attitudes and policies. Now the process is hypernormalized through media and social control. The Monster is alive and growing stronger through all the lies and disinformation that is furthered by the mad scientists at the state department and oval office. Such a monster has been seen before through the big lie of Goebbels et. al. The almost universal hatred of anything Russian is evidence of the Monsters power.
The true danger is not just in trying to control the monster, which is clearly out of control, but that the creators themselves, seeing that they have failed and destroyed their own futures, would then take the rest of civilization down with them. After all, trusting sick psychopaths is an inherent part of allowing the elite to lead.
In the final analysis, though the American masses are decent and well-intentioned, their leadership has created a monster that threatens the security of every mortal being.
The Monster
Today’s monster threatens world-war three, much as the former Prometheus of the west, ignited into WWII. The monster exists in clouds of ignorance and willful-ignorance. Ignorance has become central to the American landscape for more than 40 years as public schools have been gutted and curriculums are filled with mind-control and lies. This has been standard practice in American history curriculum for more than 100 years as the genocide of Native Americans was glossed over and/or legitimized. The practice of “Americanizing” Native American children was not ended until the 1970s. In many ways, the USA has always been the monster -- World War II was merely an extension of the American monster (much as the current crisis in Europe today).
Current debate over civics curriculum and critical race theory have brought to light the strength of the monster in that people demand censorship and the limitation of ideas. Banning, removing and limiting speech and the dissemination of ideas is surely the sign of tyranny and a tyrannical form of “democracy.” When the population is uninformed, and then also kept dis-informed, and in fact weaponized to be propagandized – democracy cannot exist. The misguided notion that American soldiers are bringing democracy to the world is a joke – but so evil and pernicious that most Americans believe their government and soldiers to be a shining light in the dark. To argue with this and other monstrous notions risks retribution.
Elections have not provided any hope for Americans. They have been programmed for nearly three decades to vote for the lesser of two evils. In a race to the bottom, the economy was slowly controlled by the most unethical of mad scientists. The suffering of the poor and less fortunate cannot be heard in the marbled halls of Harvard and Yale graduates. The elite are so far removed from the struggles of most people in the country that they are unaware of the polarities. As most of these processes have been incremental, the crawl towards a better world is Sisyphean at best.
Add the already high levels of weaponization, hate, anger and distrust, and the monster has reached critical levels. It’s a powder-keg. Talks of dissolution are becoming more common and enrollment and formation of private militias is at an all time high. The powers at-be are doing everything to stop the hemorrhaging, and changes in hair-shirts and talking heads are indicative of elites in fear. Mass shootings are occurring daily in America and everyone – who were amber alerted two decades ago – are afraid and looking for someone to blame. The younger generation are truly lacking in hope and their expressions reveal this dystopia clearly.
How will it end?
There are only two options left for America and the world. Initially, conflict with Russia and China will lead to World War III. This could easily destroy everyone. One can never believe that a monster is like a virus. A virus – a disease - will not wish to destroy its host, while a monster simply does not care. The recent efforts to start a war with China over Taiwan speaks volumes to the desperation evident in the west. The NATO response to Russian aggression has always been first use of nuclear weapons. None of the trip-wires have been removed. Any war with Russia will inevitably lead to nuclear war.
Secondly, America and western vassals must fall. This means their economies will fail, their banking institutions will collapse and they will no longer be able to fund foreign adventurism and dirty tricks. There are very few independent countries in the western alliances today. Their economies are linked to the dollar and they will all be in depression for the short-term.
Excluding NATO and Asian vassal states, the rest of the world is choosing to handle the American Monster as a baby. They are currently isolating America and giving it space to tire itself out. Danny Haiphong likens America to a big baby that must be managed. Many world leaders believe that after America falls into their own problems, rests from a nap and then, maybe they will be able to be a constructive member of the world. The new world will be multi-polar and led by China and Russia.
Many people in America do not understand either of these outcomes, and this will lead to a worsening of any perceived solution. Colonel Douglas MacGregor commented just a few days ago that until the American economy collapses, Americans will not change their ways. Most Americans believe this is all Biden’s fault or they are fearful of a resurgent Trump – not realizing they are the same group of elitists who rule from privilege. The international Socialists made the mistake before World War I in believing that the international proletariat would never fight a war for Kings or governments. The conversion of animosity, doubt and anxiety regarding the future is easily sequestered into a decent soldier. Mob rule has already infected America in the form of internet mobs who de-platform and censor alternative voices. Many Americans have voluntarily armed themselves and formed into militias looking for enemies to target. There has never in the history of the known world been such a powder-keg as this.
The dissolution of America can take many forms. Most analysts point to older divisions, for example the Republic of Texas being able to seamlessly become an independent country, say, tomorrow. Many other regions would benefit from dissolution and it’s easy to see America ceasing to exist but for states east of the Mississippi River. There will be a race to get away from the more than 31 trillion dollars of debt that is owed by the US government – not an independent Texas, or Hawaii or the United West Coast States. People with foresight have already begun minting coins and developing the means to change currency.
A more likely outcome, however, is that America will actually devolve into chaos. Police cannot provide safety to all Americans and this will worsen with the coming economic crisis. Many Americans will become criminals overnight as they become squatters in their own homes; unable to pay debts; and/or targeted by another (hate) group.
In the end of the novel by Mary Shelley, despite his best effort to hunt down the monster he created and destroy it — Frankenstein failed. He dies in the arctic after hunting down the Monster but being unable to kill it. In the end, the Monster simply sailed away, never to be found again. In his last dying words to a ship captain (Walton), Victor Frankenstein said that (people) should “seek happiness in tranquility and avoid ambition."
This should be the mantra for the new US of A, should it ever rise again.
